Putting it out there, what do you think is the best bike of all time, i know alot of people are going to say pends what for track, road ect ect but im speaking in overall terms?
For me ill say the CBR900 1993 i feel that made sportsbikes and was the bench mark for what we see today from the factory!
If this is a repsostah i dont care!

This should be good. I'm waiting for some one to give a narrative of all their pic-ups and why one in particular is the best "bike" ever.
Personally I like pretty much most motorbikes produced by Germany between 1931-1944, even the tracked ones. But to choose one, the one Steve McQueen road in the Great Escape. Incidentally the bike he road was apparently a Triumph fro the 60's, not Zundapp (BMW) as was used buy the German army at the time. |

Definitely my favourite motorcycle scene from a movie. But my fave bike of all time... hmmm....
Sport bike I would probably say the 98 R1, for the same reasons you chose the 93 CBR900. Although the 900 shaped the way bikes were built after, the 98 R1 was probably the first of the new era bikes and sorta set the benchmark for the bikes in the 10 years since. And where as the 900 looks dated by todays standards, the R1 is still very fresh looking.
Of course the true model in timeless design is the MV August, but thats so timeless its become pase.
For a naked bike, I'd have to say... its got to be an Aprillia Tuono. Don't ask me why - but I just love this bike.

Just one ya reckon? Dunno if I can do that. The 1969 Honda CB750 Bol Dor was pretty revolutionary; I of course have a penchant for the original 1972 Kawasaki Z1 though (although mine is a bit of a cheap substitute). Then of course there was the Ducati 916 that rewrote the rule book too.
I’m sure others will remind me of some that I missed.

I come from a very religious family and I often thought of my own wife and children back in Massachusetts. I wondered how I would manage to live with the guilt for the rest of my life. The knowledge that God was with me and that our padre had done everything for my soul's salvation was a constant comfort in these terrible times. Even today I could not survive without the certainty my faith gives me." - Flight Lieutenant McCallum |

Suzuki Hayabusa. Very 90's. Very Japanese. Very fast. Very cool.

That bike was a product of a different time, when success was rewarded and being the best actually meant something. Given the current political and economic landscape it could be a while until anyone tries a project that outrageously ambitious again.
