I know this was touched on a while ago,
But i read in yesterday’s papper that qld govt in there infinite wisdom has commissioned a report from Monash to introduce the new o% limit. Can’t find the article on line atm.
Reading it, it certainly seems like its an inevitability, the report is due mid next year but the govt stance believes this will curb the current state of deaths due to bike ridding.
Now i think if you have more then a beer and ride, you’re not going to be at 100% and you should be when riding but i can’t see this will stop bike deaths.
we all ride for our own reason and take into consideration the inherent risks involved with riding, i for one know that if i get t-boned by a car at a intersection in a car i should survive, but i also know if im riding and i don’t check the side street just in case and get cleaned up im fucked and that’s that.
i cant see this working and don’t think it will make a bit of difference in the road toll wish this govt would fuck off.
