Lol that ad is ridiculous. I'll point out that rare models are only worth more as a selling point if they are in original condition. Nor is an aftermarket, readily available fairing kit in an easily replicated paint scheme rare?
a nice bike for sure, but you don't get a lot of bije for the money with these things.

i'd love an rvf400 - im fullyu licensed, i just like the bikes - but not willing to pay the LAMS price markup exp when after a year on a 250r you can throw your leg over a 2006 R6 for the same cash - or a lams street tripple which will see you through most your riding career. Just dont understand how the bubble remains on these bikes to the extent it does!

I think that the bubble is superficial - i've seen RVFs advertised for this sort of money for a long time (and they generally include a lot more than this bike), but they never seem to sell. I managed to pick one up for $4150 with rwc and a whole lot of other goodies. People (especially learners) don't want to lose money on their bikes, especially when people tell them that they can sell their bikes for what they paid for them.

Also - that article about the RVF nameplate is likely just Honda trying to keep ownership of the RVF name as trademarks have to be re-applied for in order to keep ownership. Whether it really has anything to do with the RC213V-S or a new product is yet to be seen.

It looks like a good bike, but if the ad goes over the top it turns everything down. I couldn't manage to finish reading the whole thing.
