I was speaking to a guy in a bike store on the weekend and he informed me that a 2011 version of the CBR250rr is to be released.
I can only find some rough info on this and I'm not sure if it's a definite.
Just wondered if anyone knows if the rumours are true.

nah, same rumors and photoshops coming up time and time again.

if they did bring it out, and used the vtr250 engine, it would retail at 9k+

Sumoto will sell you one
HA! Nice.

I already have a bike but I was just curious.
if they did bring one out, with the same specs as the mc22 and mc19, id say the resale value on our bikes would half at least and sumoto would be out of business
heard those rumors last year
not sure if its true or note

a picture of what it is meant to look like according to some random websites

if they were to sell that, i'd buy the older one, any day. looks totally uninspired compared to the over-engineered ciblets of the past. what a POS.
Nope, would rather keep mine. Even if it is 20 years old now. Cause that looks about as ugly as a fat lady in a bikini.

Yuck.

(Favorite shape is still the 2005 Repsol CBR1000RR... Mmmmm YUMMY!)
Theres not much market for them anymore here, and the CB400 filled the LAMS gap nicely. I'd definitely like them to make a CBR400RR for sale here, though...

...with '80s styling and dual headlights, naturally :D

Old school is the way to go, when people reinvent things its just not the same
Yeah, i think if they were to bring out that new cibbie, I would still think the older ones body kit craps all over it.
The sales guy that I was speaking to in the city was going on about CBR250's and how the new one's would kill the older one's.
"Fucking unreal" I said.
should have told him to take his fist out his ass, then take said fist, and repeatedly bash his own fayse in. i can only assume going by that pic, that the 'new' one would probably have less power than our beloved' ones. the brake setup doesn't look like it's meant to stop anything remotely serious.
I did see that photo getting around a few years ago, come to think of it. It looks very much like the styling on the 09-10 1000RR, too.

As for the brakes, its only a hptoshop mockup. I doubt there is such a bike in development at all. Plus, the MC19 only has a single disc and they pull up alright. Hell, my Brembo-shod Aprilia 125 only had a single disc and that stoppied like a maniac!

I think that the CBR250RR and CBR400RR look much better than the 2010 models
i was talking to a guy at pro honda and he said the same thing

that there releasing a new cibblet, same motor, new frame, fule injection ect to compete with the kawka 250.
priced around the $7000 to 9000 price range.
in saying that the pic has been around for along time and honda has not released anyhting hinting this so.

im just going to sit and wait see what happens
i call bs.

that pic was touted as the 2010 cbr250...

if they did bring a new one out it would be the same hunk of shit as the gpx driven "ninja"

except, i suppose it would at least have the vtr engine, which is still a v-twin, but at least its better than the gpx.
I think the pic and 2011story is bs but I don't see why honda wouldn't build a cbr250rr to compete with kawasaki and the yamaha.
