If this belongs in maintenance, feel free to move.

Got new tyres yesterday, only did about 30km on them (to get home, basically), and today mum informed me my bike had dropped trow and there was green stuff on the floor.

Now, it was only a small amount (less than a 5x5 puddle). I have a container underneath to see if it is still leaking by morning.

I've taken the side fairing off and can't find any obvious leaks, although I'll get back under there later and have another squizz. It isn't coming from the coolant run off hose, that comes out at the kickstand and the puddle is under the front of the bottom fairing.

My question is what could have happened / what should I be looking for / anything else? Should I chat to the place that changed my tyres? (Have been told that they would have nothing to do with it, maybe I'm just paranoid?)

If there is nothing in the container by morning (it's been there 30min or more by now and not a drop) should I be worried / not ride it / fahgedaboudit?

Thanks for any help!

well if it's only a little bit it could just be coming out of the coolant overflow... the water expands and contracts... sometimes it overflows.. generally nothing to be concerned about but definitely keep your eyes on it..

if it's coming out the overflow, it will be around the middle of the bike as the coolant bottle is there..

if it's overflowing from the radiator area, could be excess pressure letting fluid leak... and will be up the front of the bike (obviously)

also i wouldnt think that ot should leak unless the bikes running? being that there is not water being pumped through? correct me if im wrong though.
It will move when the coolant heats/cools without the pump. Ever stopped for fuel, come back to your car and all of a sudden your overflow bottle is full cos the wanker mechanic overfilled it and now it is leaking everywhere?

Did you overfill the resovoir? does the 2007 model have one ?

Did you notice the temperature rise too high?

Is the radiator cap busted?
I haven't serviced the bike since getting it, and it hasn't leaked before.

The temperature coming from the shop was normal.

Dunno, will look up in the manual and check.

The container underneath is still bone dry as of this morning.

Hole in the rad? Check the radiator for damp spots. Buy radweld if it is the rad.

Loose clip?

Next Time you run the bike squeeze the hose pipes when it's warm, are they ROCK hard?

Are your rad pipes perished? Cracking?

What bike?
