you should also take an appointment with the mechanic and have their number handy. Cops asked me for the number once while going to get blue slip and they called the mech to make sure I was booked in and what time.boingk said:One word of advice, you may want to write down your trip details when riding to the inspection station...just in case a policeman decides to pull you over at an RBT or something. I always put down the following on a notepad before I leave:
Destination of departure
Odometer reading
Time & date of departure
Destination
I really don't think they'd legally be able to fault you, as if you're en route to the station then they can't do squat. If you're hooning on your favourite stretch, however...thats a different story.
