Buying tyres from OS?

Is this possible/legal?

Every dollar counts for me atm, and even with the dollar taking a bit of a dive it is still 50 odd dollars cheaper assuming I buy a set here for 400 odd.

dont think so.. never seen any AS markings on tyres.. besides... really who is ever going to check!!

if its cheaper then go for it! just make sure you take fitting into account ;)
Was gunna say, once shipping is into it, are you actually going to make a profit once you get em fitted?
I'm waiting for a concrete reply on shipping costs, from STG.

Using $50 for shipping I'm up by 100+ at the end of it with my current math wizardry, not including fitting.

I'm not kidding though, every dollar counts atm... can't afford a set in Aus :) Hopefully have a job lined up for a week from now, but if I get it I'll need a way to get to work.
pick up some second handy's off formulaxtreme classified if you can
yeh just buy some ex race tyres, me and other dudes ere always have em for sale....

what sort of bike is it for and where abouts in AUS are you? there are always deals on around town.. MCAS had diablo corsa tyres for $350 fitted (if you take the wheels off yourself) about a month ago if its for a big bike. same with team moto doing pilot powers for $400 fitted i think. Having looked into it in a the past i would be surprised if you will end up saving anything so make sure you look at all the cost.. in most places fitting will cost you $30-$40 alone thats if you just bring the wheels in. if they have to take them off the bike it will be more. also, i would be very surprised that a set of tyres cost $50 to ship from overseas. race suits and lids cost more from the states and they arent as big or heavy. could be wrong of course. let us know how you go tho ;)
STG shipping is $150, there goes that plan!
Yeah, most places I've looked overseas don't ship tyres or the shipping is so outrageous that it's not worth it.
