Has anyone ever seen a mc22 with chrome wheels? Mine have a few spots where the paint has come off and I was thinking of having them powder coated. But the thought of chrome popped into my head. I think it would look different.

hmmm, I think I just threw up in my mouth...

sorry, in all seriousness, MIGHT look ok. Not my personal taste and never seen it done.
But I would be interested in seeing photos if you end up doing it. Should i get a bucket now??? lol

You could get them painted to look like chrome or even carbon fibre. There is some great paints available now and the process is much more cheaper that getting it plated.

If you did go with chrome wheels it would cause a snowball affect and you would have to bling the rest of the bike, like polished frame, swing arm and the list goes on.

Like someone said, so 90's now.

Were your whole wheels polished or just the lips sneedy? I swore to myself after i my ciblet that i would never own anything other than black wheeled bikes because i was so sick of cleaning my wheels. I now have black wheels with a polished lip and im pretty happy with that.

Now that I think about it from a different perspective. I for got about the cleaning, thanks Sneedy. It may not be worth the money or time. Id rather be riding then polishing. Looks like powder coating it is. Thats for the brain storming ideas. This is why forums are great, you can through a idea out there and get thoughts and suggestions from other people with the same intrests.

if you're actually going to hard chrome them then that would add a fair chunk of weight as well, the whole rims only weigh a couple of kg, so adding a few hundred grams or more of chrome would most likely have a negative effect on handling.

black chrome, yes... silver chrome, hell no.
and as for black rims, you do know black is the hardest paint colour to keep clean... my black rims look brown/grey atm because i dont clean them often (never)
