when i swapped over forks didnt have time to weigh them and to swap them over again so weighed them this time.
cibby forks:wheel, discs, calipers and mc, bottom yoke and stem: avg weight of 21kg.

gsxr 600/750 k6 forks: cibby wheel, cbr 900 armstrong wavy discs, calipers and mc and bottom yoke and machined stem: avg weight of 23.1kg

weight difference wont effect my bike as i've a half a sub frame and carbon gsxr tail

So you've lightened the rear and increased the weight of the front?

They're not big numbers, I'm sure you'll be fine, but even though you may have kept the overall weight the same, you've changed the centre of gravity (forward).

Justin.
Interesting post, nonetheless.
I vaguely remember you writing up on the old forum. How do they feel performance wise?
so my center of gravity is gonna move forward about 10mm and up about 15mm, shit!!!

performance wise, it's the best thing i've done to the bike, and i've more or less done everything to it. it's like a totally different bike handles so much better and i dont have it fully set up yet, also with the bigger brakes i can probably out brake anyone

Are you sure you've thought this through?

Bigger brakes let you disappate more heat, so you can keep braking hard for longer without cooking your brakes. However since your cibby tops out about 100km/h slower than the gixxer those brakes are from, you'll never actually achieve that, honestly all you've done is add rotating mass, imho.[hr]
EDIT: Not dissing your project at all, I reckon it's awesome and I cosndered doing something similar, just wanted to point out that your assumption might be flawed.
