Selling my spare 954 tank. It's yellow with blue decal which is glossed over.
It has a dimple which was caused by the previous owner when he punched the tank because his girlfriends brother pissed him off. Yeah... WTF. The story about the dent was confirmed by Jay @ Sydney Motorcycle Wreckers when I took it in for a service and he recognised the bike because of the dent.
Talking to him he said you could easily do a paintless dent repair and shouldn't cost more than $80 as it's more a dimple or depression rather than the result of a fall. It's a dimple and only a small crack in the paint is visible. I didn't bother repairing it though as I had already bought a spare tank and was going to use this as a track tank.
The tank has ZERO rust and has been stored sealed in the garage for 8 months. Only some slight surface rust is around where the fuel pump is seated. A quick rub with some very very light wet n dry will clear it up.
I'm looking for $150.
Pick-up only. Although I could potentially post it if some extra cash is thrown my way for the effort.
