Fuel economy register - the good, the bad, the ugly

Righteo, thought I'd get a fuel economy register going. I realise some people might not give a damn but I always find it interesting...especially if its especially good or bad. List your ride & mileage, your distance & fuel usage, and how the machine was used. Heres mine:

'88 CBR250R; 25,000km

11.5L / 225km (5.1L/100km)

Mostly hard riding >100km/h, with around 40km in trips to work @ 60km/h.

Don't just put 'a tank' for the volume though, as this varies depending on when you fill up and what amount you fill up to. I tend to reset my trip indicator and note the litres I put into the tank, thus getting fuel economy.

Cheers guys - boingk

DRZ400 running rich;
140ish/tank (8ish L) no matter how i ride it
5.7L/100k (if i worked it out right)
1983 Kawasaki GPZ750A1 - The Yellow Peril -
19L - 215kms - thats with the stock carbs around town.
Im not sure what mileage I'm currently getting with the insaneo carbs, but will post.
DRZ400SM - stock jetting, aftermarket exhaust. (7L Tank/3L Reserve - 10L total)

Best so far in my 3 tanks. (300ish Kms.)

126km/7L
5.6L/100km

All city kms - all hard gas.
2002 CBR 954 RR (Akra End Can - No PC3) 160km @ 14.5l = 9l/100km
2002 CBR 954 RR (Akra End Can - PC3 Custom Map) 200km @ 14.5l = 7.2l/100km
Best 250km @ 14.5l = 5.8l/100km (150kmh cruise for entire tank)

2006 GSXR 1000 K6 (Yoshi End Can - PC3 file map) 200km @ 14.5l = 7.2l/100km

1989 CBR250R MC19 (Stock - rebuilt carbs) 280km @ 13l = 4.65l/100km

All other conditions are for normal driving - i.e no unnecessary/heavy acceleration
wow, i was getting 12ks/l
so thats 120ks/10l
but that was before i cleaned my carbs
thats my mc19

yet to find out the "after" mileage

guess im not running too rich then... pretty close
Mine isn't running perfect though - just bought the JD jet kit to rejet the fucker and stop the super surge that keeps happening!
I usually get about 220 to 230 kms on 10L... Not sure what this works out to for L/100km, but I think its good...

:)
1996 CBR 250RR mc22, totally stock: ~200km per 10L (mixture or city and hard riding)

So 5L/100km
2009 R1, slip on M4 system (economy was pretty much the same stock though) 160 - 170km to reserve light (19L fuel tank w/ 3L reserve)
That's mixed urban and recreational riding, for just a rideout i'll top 200km per tank... freeway riding considerably more.

still not too good though haha

100kms to a tank on the track

You make me feel better James - it probably runs on PULP too hey
vtr 250

5.5/100k

no matter how i ride it.[hr]
cbr250

7ish/100k

riding like a monkey on speed.
2009 Kwaka Ninja zx10
Yoshi slipon
Best so far is 262kms on 15.8ltrs with 1.2 left in the tank..
That was a 40/60 mixture of hardish and highway riding..
The economy blows me away on this thing for a 1000cc bike.. I believe with all responsible highway riding im capable of 300kms easy out of the tank:D
Hessian: yeah 98 only.

Bikerwog, sounds like my ZX9... i kept all my reciepts and was getting 5L/100km out of my ZX9 riding it to sydney... with a 19 litre tank that's way over 300km a tank... course that's just highway cruising but yeah. Not too shabby though!
14.8L/100km
Woosh...some dodgy fuel economy in there! Sweet merciful jesus, you guys must be absolutely pizzling some of those bikes... or they aren't running well haha.

170km/7L so someone thats more intelligent than me work it out
To work out litres per 100km, all you need to do is divide the amount of litres used by the amount of kilometers travelled, divided by one hundred. Your example would be:

(170km per 7L) = (7 divided by {170/100}) = (7/1.7) = 4.1L per 100km

See? Easy!

Cheers - boingk
4.1L/100km?!!?!? Holy fuck!?

Thank god I'm about to rejet the bike! Stock jetting must be so completely fucked it's not funny! I thought these bike ran lean from the factory - not rich!?!? I'm doing my 3x3 and everything else ASAP and will get back to you about my fuel economy then!
Hey boingk, you're ther guy with the mad KV100. Im the guy who messaged you about it today, lols

Small internet I guess.
