Tis a great book. Goes into a lot of detail about gaining valuable seconds for racing etc, if my memory serves me right. That said you still need to be able to apply the techniques in a split second situation. Also teaches you about setting up, entry and exits plus throttle control etc.

Also LMAO at sneddy... no wai !

Also again, I think an advanced riding course will do u a world of good

Riding takes practice, no book can make up for that. What it can do though is tell you what the best techniques are (eg, not holding on too tight, not putting your weight on the bars, etc), what the best lines to take through a corner are, warn you of the traps that everyone naturally falls into and how to avoid them (such as target fixation), how weight transfer determines grip and how to maximise it, etc etc.

Seriously, read it, and then practice doing the RIGHT thing.

A big key point that is not in the book is, DO NOT RIDE WHILST STRESSED!

This has been my downfall for my last two accidents. Focus just was not there, silly things happened because of it, and ultimately it stressed me out more. Riding relaxes me, but when shit happens, you just can't deal with it rationally when your stressed.
even better than reading it, download the video of it, or buy the dvd of course.

at least you wont be guessing what hes talking about in the book.. you can see it being put into practice and see it working.
Damn sorry to hear that, main thing you are okay and the bike doesnt look that bad.
ToTW is excellent. Get some tracktiem.

True that. Was at the MX track when I checked my phone after a session. Had a heap of txt's from work and received a phone call at the same time saying the shit had hit the fan at work... I dealt with all the shit and then went back out for another session... Couldn't stop thinking about work, came a cropper from a stupid mistake and busted up me shoulder :(
only nubs can't handle stress. once you get on the bike you should be able to switch focus..

(pending on stress, eg if family member is in hospital etc etc is quite a hard one)

I had to have a medical for coal mines yesterday, I go to gym, eat healthy, and the doc almost failed me for high blood pressure... Stress is just as bad for you as alcahol man, in fact I probably drive better drunk than stressed, because I would be having fun at least...
