Firstly I'd like to say thanks for all the welcome and support. You guys on here are top notch!

Basically I have bought a non LAMS bike in my eagerness, stupidness and carelessness (choose your pick). Recently acquiring my Ps, I cannot legally ride the bike, so instead of garaging it for 12 months, I would rather it go to a great home to see some excitement.

Onto the bike...

It is a 1993 build (1998 import plated) Honda VFR400R NC30. The bike is in excellent shape cosmetically and mechanically. Current kilometres sit at 18500 - so its low for the age (well I consider it low).
Purchased it from QLD and only arrived off the back of the truck yesterday morning. Original fairings with new paint and stickers. It still has QLD rego til September so you will be able to ride it away (locally or interstate). Has servicing receipts, RWC from QLD done in early July (passed everything first check) and owner's manual. Single seat complied/registered so employs cheaper rego.

Now for the price...it is advertised locally for $5000 (purchased it for $5k). Due to how welcoming people on here have been and how understanding, I am more than happy to do a deal - $4400 (or near offer) for any members or friends of members. I realise I will be losing a bit of money but that is the reality of the situation.

Pictures were taken when the bike was in QLD.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

man what i sweet price for a sweet bike! you'd typically find them for 1.5-2 times the price that you're selling for. good luck with the sale, though you won't need it at that price! :D

its posts like this that over inflate the prices of these bikes. this bike isnt cheap, the other bikes are HORRIBLY overpriced.

Looks like a brilliant bike and it will sell quickly due to how reasonably it is priced. Best of luck. :D

Is there no interest in this awesome bike? I really would like this to find a nice home.

Pics updated and to further entice, I'm lowering the price to $4k. You won't find another one like this for the price :)

I'd keep it rather than lose a thousand bucks.

12 months will fly by. In the mean time, you can hone your maintenance skills by refreshing some of the tired bits. You'll have an even better bike when you're duly licensed

cant it be restricted...? obviously im a newbie having only ridden for 16 months but i was under the impression that some people put air restrictions or rev restrictions onto bikes to make them learner legal......
I have another 2 years of learner restrictedness ahead of me due 2 the new RTA system for U25yr olds

Ok so I will be paying for an RVF400 at the end of the week YES! :) so this bike has to go! I don't have room for two bikes and especially don't have the brainpower to handle two parents quizzing me on why I have two bikes...

I'm dropping the price to $3900! Incase you're wondering, no I don't need the money from this to pay for the RVF so its non-negotiable. This is as far below $4k its going to go. A perfect toy for the approaching summer days!

The bike is advertised on Just Bikes as well so I'll be dropping the price on there too! Cheers.

its still here...received the RVF today so it would be nice to see off the VFR

i'll include a near new medium Sparx full face helmet (matte black and worn just twice), large waterproof cordura road jacket with ce armour (worn only once) and brand new short summer gloves (size medium) in the sale too if that interests anyone...
