I'm with Nathan... Not saying that his question shouldn't be answered - but it really didn't need to be asked.

is it so hard to read the manual
maybe he does not have one, i don't.

i just did a oil change on mine, and put 2.2 litres in as mentioned, but it does not reach that second mark on the dipstick, Is this normal? it does not seem right to me.

Are you holding the bike upright when you check it?

shit i feel really silly right now, i just had it on the kick stand, it looked level enough, didn't think it would make much of a difference. I got my little sister to sit on it and hold it upright while i checked it, and it went way past the second mark aswell.
Gotta keep the bike level when you check oil.
It's cool, I did that once too and ended up with like 4L of oil in the bike. I was smart enough to go "That can't possibly be right" and ring the bike shop though, so I wasn't completely retarded. /defendself

Maintenance guide; in the maintenance section; everyone download it now...
My manual says
2.2L Oil Change
2.4L Oil Change & Oil Filter Change
2.7L Oil Engine Disassembled
My manual says 1.4-1.5 and 1.8L respectively
Make sure you look up proper model year and correct manual. There's

1987-1989 CBR250R (4-cyl) and
2011+ CBR250R (2-cyl)

They take different amounts of oil.

I got a 2011 Cbr 250r (4 stroke 2 cyl) . I checked both physical and online manual (www.hondampe.com.au/docs/owning_a_honda/owners_manuals/motorcycles/CBR250R-RA 32KYJE000.pdf)
Yup, you're correct for 2011+ CBR250R.

I suppose those 1st two guys, wally from toronto and CBRPOWER were talking about older '87-89 CBR250R 4-cyl way, way back in 2010 before the 2011 2-cyl model came out.
