Larger jets on MC22

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has stuck larger jets in their carbies and if it makes much of a difference?

Would it make much of a difference with low amounts of throttle, or would the only difference be seen when the throttle is opened the whole way up?..

If replacing jets with larger ones, should anything else be replaced/changed?..

Also, any suggestions on where to buy?..

Cheers

higher flowing air filter to match the increased volume of fuel.
That makes sense. What air filter would allow more air in?

Hiflo? (lol) K&N?

EDIT: Looks like K&N don't do an air filter for the MC22.
dang i forgot the name of the filter, but plenty of peeps have done this to their ciblets, just wait for em to chime in.
zing! there ya go. lol.
cool, so do you just replace jets?..

And where do you buy from?

Much of a power increase?
Ninexz, i know you did this. end the poor kids misery already lol
Was also wondering where youd pick up jets.
I was thinking RB imports Taren point would be a good start.
Whats the going rate on a dyno run guys? just out of interest to have it tuned properly after I do the work myself.
you'd need a better exhaust as well

RB imports are *******. i got told that it was pointless rejetting when i went there, then was charged $5 for 10 shims.
didn't someone say that you can get the jets from Honda?. NINE! GET THE FUCK BACK IN HEEER NAO!
If you got them from Honda wouldn't they be original size?..
115 main jets, adjust air/fuel mixture screw, high flow air filter and a straight through end can. 1/8 to 1/4 throttle is rough but after that it pulls hard. it will drive you nuts if you drive mostly in the city. and your km per tank will go down loads
nooooooooo you buy 115 jets...

******* they are. Stasi told me the same thing. I asked him why.. and he answered "because I've done it lots of times before".
The older guy is pretty nice though, and he gave me a good price on jets.
You can get the jets from them, infact please do, and post back what they tell you.

hmm i might not do it then if it will affect how many kms i get per tank and if it's going to be annoying in traffic. if it was just a matter of changing the jets to get better acceleration i would do it..

Thanks for the info guys :D

ergh. this thread makes baby raptor jesus cry.

cry blood.
ffs, change gearing then. how did you think changing jets wouldnt affect anything?
gearing would be a better first performance mod. probably.

bigger jets allowing more fuel in and you didn't consider that it might also increase your fuel consumption?[hr]
just change your sprockets over then if you want abit more acceleration, although, its a lot more expensive then swapping jets/ uni filter.

Ideally if you're going to change the sprockets over you'd get both new, and a new chain.good coupla hundred as opposed to the $50 odd you need for the jets and filter.
