Yep, another post on this topic, but my question is a little bit different. Everyone seems to be sure that the MC19 pilot screws should be set to 1 5/8 turns, but I cannot find any documentation anywhere that supports this. All of the copies of the workshop manual that I've seen say the standard settings should be 2 1/2 turns. Can anyone clarify this for me? Just curious to know where the 1 5/8 number is from.

Most likely this is due to bike coming from factory with super-rich jetting. The 1-5/8" turns out on pilot-screws gives crisper immediate throttle-response. And max-power is achieved with downsizing mains by 2-3 sizes.
