Hey everyone and welcome :) I haven't been on this site since my last mc22 was stolen in early 2013.
Its good to be back!
So recently picked up an MC22 that was a little worse for wear.... and when I say a little, I mean ALOT.
(have to work out the photo situation)

Anyway, this is a thread of my build as it goes. I've decided to go streetfighter influenced for something different. My last bike was finished with the Tyga T8 kit and I loved it, however, why make the same thing thing twice?

So, as I said, this will be streetfighter, cafefighter influenced, so if you're not into that kind of thing I guess you can just leave instead of telling me I should have returned it to factory. That shit is boring!
This build will not happen overnight, so don't get your pants twisted.
I'd love to show you a photo of what it will look like when its done, but nothing I've found really matched it.

Suggestions and ideas most welcome. Enjoy :D

Cafe fighter?
I'd prefer a cafe racer 250RR, but hey,
it'll be interesting to see this completed.
Good luck with your build, keep us posted :)
At its current stage, the bike looks really good.

Thanks mate, ill keep you guys up to date as much as possible. I'm not really sure what to call it to be honest. I've taken influences from alot of different things, however when I think cafe racer I tend to think this kinda of thing.
Doc Chops Yamaha Virago Cafe Racer ~ Return of the Cafe Racers
which is awesome, but not really what I'm going for.

oh.. and don't get used to the red. :p

looking good. I like what youre doing with the clocks, might try something like this on my own cafe project. How are you going to finish them off?

Probably with a clear perpex cover or tinted yellow. Nothing sealed. I like the raw look of them.

Whats with the wire? You making a new airbox?

I like it so far... Although I would have left the tank plain red... Maybe would have done a little gold/black/which pinstriping.

But still, shes looking great.

As for photos I still use Photobucket and just link them in here. Find I get better quality in images.

Or sometimes I just upload them to facebook and link theme here using image tags. Just depends if I want my FB friends to see them or not really.

Thanks mate :) the tank hasnt been painted yet, so dont get used to the red :) id love to tell you what colour it will be, but thats a suprise :D

The wire mesh is an idea to fill the gap between frame and tank, as I wont have a front guard or ducting vents. Like I said, bear with me... :s

Always scary when your trying to get an idea from your head into real life.. I hope it all comes out at least half as good as I imagine!

As always stay tuned. Some exciting pieces are in the mail :D

So its been almost a month and a little bit has changed. Got my tail, and paint done, wiring almost complete, and front guard on. New front tyre, and little bits here and there. The photos aren't great, but you'll get the idea. I've only had the chance to work on this at night so havn't taken any good daytime photos. enjoy :)
