don't think i worded that title right but ah well.

wish i didnt have to, but my back problems are getting worse and worse(ending up in a short hospital stay saturday night) and i think i need a different bike for a few months.
hopefully i can keep it, but i need a way to get to work that wont leave me struggling to walk.

anyway.
looking for any bike that has an upright seating position, whether that be a sports tourer, a naked bike, a motard, anything that will go easier on my lower back. will trade + cash your way for the right bike.

rego is a positive, but not essential. ill have a month to get it ready before riding it. has to be close to rwc tho.
cosmetics im not too fussed about. as long as its mechanically sound.

what i have to trade is a rep write off, 1990 CBR250RR with 53000ks.

ignore the torn rear seat, has been replaced with tyga seat cover.

The GOOD
its a mc22 :headbang:
Rego until January 11 next year.
forks recently rebuilt at service day.
oil changed 900km ago(at service day)
fastest lams 250cc bike.
would make a good cheap track bike.
imo the best colour scheme on a cbr250rr
bt45 tire on the rear with plenty of tread left.

The BAD
rep write off. been repaired by a previous owner and then dropped again.
no rwc. defiantly needs disks.
rhs lower fairing is cracked. few tabs missing.
rear tail light bridge is blue, 2 tabs left.

starts first time with choke, mechanically feels fine. rides perfect. only trouble ive ever had with it is running out of petrol.
Rego is still in previous owners name, but i have all the forms signed from him ready to transfer over to myself.

id highly encourage an inspection. you can contact me on here to arrange a time.

if someone did want to offer cash instead of a trade, id defiantly consider it.

mate i'd ask your chiropractor about the bike b4 you get rid of it, had a mate years ago wanting to do the same thing, but when he mentioned it too his doc/chiro they said its actually doing his back good being in that position, may be how your position too, but im sure youve tried different positions though.
What about acupuncture?
yeah tried a few different positions.. but i think its a culmination of a number of things thats causing it.
im seeing a chiro today and can hopefully keep the bike. this is just a placeholder incase worst comes to worst.
I remember seeing you in some pain at the maintenance day... Sorry to hear dude... If I had something worth trading I would!
Would you consider a Spada? VTR? ... They can be a little exxy but you may be lucky and find a cheap one.

Not good to hear about your back.

Def mention to the chiro that you ride and show your riding position.

I assume you have tried grasping the tank with your legs and not putting too much pressure on your lower back?
My back is bad and it hurt the first few weeks I got it, my chest can actually crack. My physio dude said its not the bike, its how i sleep.

yeah i would consider a vtr, probably stop me trying to hit the rev limiter in 6th on the cibby lol.

only thing about the spada and the vtr is that im off restrictions in september so wouldnt have it for more than 6 months or so
and you seemed sooo happy when you finally got a cbr250rr...

good luck with the sale hopefully you dont have to sell it :-/
Yeah mate try ride a VTR250 and see what you think. They are upright and fun to ride :)
On that note, have you tried a MC19? they are much more comfy to ride and more upright than a MC22, my house mate might be interested in swapping his MC19 with you.

As long as you are going to a chiropractor and acupuncturist, why not sacrifice a small animal and dance around some candles :p
nah havent tried an mc19 yet actually, seeing a chiro for the first time this week, and acupuncture isnt really my thing but im willing to try it.

ive bought new work shoes, a new bed and a new computer chair to help so far but acupuncture isnt too far away if this doesnt work.

have you got pics of the mc19?
any info about it? rego etc?
looks alright, wheels need a clean tho haha
dunno, ill ask him tomorrow if you are interested
you mentioned maybe a motard as a swap option in your OP.
just keep in mind the vibrations that a thumper inherently has.
these might not be the best thing for your condition.
sometimes i can get stiff after a ride and it's obviously not the seating position as that's very upright.
the only thing i can think of the cause is the constant vibrations from a single cylinder donk.

(or maybe it's trying to launch of every speed hump, roundabout, curb etc in my path  )
