Make sure none of your fuel lines were pinched when you put the tank on.

I have been experiencing the same issue with my bike over the past couple of months. Many trips to the mechanic have not been able to diagnose it.
Does your bike slowly lose power and revs until it completely dies? and once it dies does the bike have enough charge to start back up again?

Was just wondering if you have figured out the cure for this problem because i have also been having the same problem. After about 30-45 mins of riding i get that instant drop of power and revs and the more you twist the accelerator to speed up the quicker it dies. Once it dies i can not restart it again. My bike has not been fixed and awaits going to mechanics.
How easy it to remove the petcock  from the tank?Shadow said:Have you guys checked the fuel filter inside the tank?
If it's clogged up, it's gonna cause surging / running out of fuel issues...
