Just got this back together so I thought I would post up some pics before it had a chance to fall over again...

TSR full exhaust with homemade endcan salvaged for other crashed ones, BEET rearsets although these were too high and I have spaced them down a bit, fully rebuilt and revalved suspension by Zeno, NSR250 rad.

Looks like braided brake lines, coolant overflow is different and the rear brake reservoir is hrc?checkerplate engine covers. What else?
Have you shown this before on the old forum? I remember seeing almost the exact pic before.

Yeah it was on my sig, but have done a fair bit more to it since then, including crashing it a couple of times.....[hr]

Observant, but the coolant overflow is standard. It's got a NC29 master cylinder and reservoir. It is running 120 mains, it was jetted for the Moriwaki system I had, but went out today and it seems pretty good with these in and this system. Would like to try some 118s or similar as it seems a little doughy at the top. It also has a thin piece of PVC pipe araldited to the throttle so it has a QA throttle. It also has the techspec tank grip off my 400. It also has a fork brace.

Still have to fit the HRC CDI, but that will come next month when I get it back on the dyno. It only puts out 41hp on the dyno, but this dyno reads a bit low. I also have a set of EBC high ductile iron front discs waiting to go on once I can clean the rust off them and some fork preload adjusters. The front seems a bit soft under brakes, but I like the spring rate so might be able to tune this a bit using these or get Zeno to increase the comp damping a bit.

Next year is a new set of rings and the rebuilt head of the old engine that Fatty cleaned up the ports of. I'm also going to build a seat from high dnsity foam glued to an old seat base I have as the current one although it is the right height is way to effin slippery.

We've got our one hour race at the Mako Trac in Mareeba tomorrow. I'm doing it with the GF for the first time. She's a bit slow, so no podium, but a racing GF is still a racing GF. Racing from 11am if you can make it.

Wire wheel on a bench grinder, shitty clothes and eye protection and away you go. The ductile iron discs just rust overnight, but they certainly are heaps better when it comes to braking.

how did u go about getting the sponsors
One of them is my GFs business, tyres for bikes used to give me cheap tyres through my brothers business (but ran out of the brothers business stickers) and Wazza the mechanic at Atherton Crane hire does my tunes etc for free. So it is mainly mates...

Well it did fall over again, but luckily a very slow lowside so I got back and on kept going. It was not the exhaust side luckily. The GF was really slow so I had a lot of time to make up and I wasgetting braver and braver on the gas out of turn 4 before the back let go. The foot peg kept coming loose and I kept mising upshifts so I had to pit and tighten it, but by the end of the race it was loose again, so last in the 250s but 5th out of 7 finishers. One of our racers highsided in 4 yesterday in practice and broke a wrist and collarbone so I was lucky

I found a rockinghorse and then some of its poo and it was beside it....

No seriously I got it from bloody aussie who used to frequent here. I've only seen 2 of them in 5 years ownership of the MC22 so they are hard to come by. The second one was on Yahoo Japan for about $450.

Matt
I thought that thanks.

I will just have to keep looking for something to use.

What does the HRC CDI do in terms of making your mc22 better? Haven't read up on it yet

Has an official Honda HRC 330 ohm resistor across the wires to allow the 180km/h hard cap to be bypassed? :D
no. surely not. that can be bypassed with a single resistor.
I'm loving this thread - Old school and new school track bikes and damned fine examples of both!

Rufus - could you email or send me links for some high res images of your bike? The pain job is phenomenal!
