How are you going to get the disk on the other side?
Use a RVF rim?
... did you think for even 2 seconds about that post?

Is the disk being on the wrong side really the only problem you can see with putting a cbr250 rear wheel on a vfr swingarm?!

For the time and effort you'd be spending on it, I don't think it would be worth it.

I know this because with my forks for my RS250 fork conversion only cost me $200 but then I had to buy the rotors and calipers which were $300 and then I had to buy a wheel which cost me $200 and I still need an axle, tire, and a new stem.

But I have made $300 out of the fork and wheel I sold so it's only cost me $400 so far but that's going to got up.

My advice: Buy an RVF swingarm with an RVF attached to it and stick with that lol

pointless post? I ddnt ask a question sayig hey spamers jump on board and post dumb shit.

An rvf via an importer is around 8-10 gs where as a vfr rear end is i think at absolute most like 600 pending investigation plus what t gs for an mc19 thats 4 gs not including sale of mc19 spares but including other expenses. So that leaves me 4 grand spare to spend on hookers, booze and indecent exposure fines

so my question was aimed at people willing to contribute helpful advice brainstorming or information reguarding the problems im going to have and if i can use a rvf swingarm or a vfr.

I'm in the process. Haven't had time for the bike for aaaages. I'll post more details when I get some time today. Total cost of swingarm and wheel wasn't much, you have to get spacers made up so it's handy to know someone with a lathe. It's a heavier rear swingarm too so keep that in mind.[hr]
Search project bikes section on old forum with my username.

I need a bike and a computer first hombré. I have worked on about 50 or so last week but they all belong to auspost or customers, so I can't really go mucking around with them. By the way chain and sprockets are easypeasy. My black bike has taken the back seat for now but I will be able to do some measurements and make spacers for next to nothing so I will try and get around to it after I pull apart a cbr400 with the missus. Be patient your writeups will appear sparodically.

who here has done it?
i remember reading it had been done, i love the sssa styling and should i run vfr shock or 92 cbr600f shock.
I would not do it. The RVF/VFR chain adjust sucks ass. Change the ride height with gearing changes or chain adjust. Fuck that. Stay with the CBR400. Or leave alone.
