There are a couple of bike ride days coming up at marulan that I'm considering going to, cost is $100 (I think, that is what it costs for a car at least and they don't list prices for bikes) plus $30 if you don't currently hold a race/track license ($30 for a 12 month license).

I am posting this to see if anyone else is interested in coming along, and to find out which date suits everyone best.

Some things to be aware of:

They do not allow racing at the facility. Below, please find some more information in regards to venue hire.

· Gates Open: 8am;

· Riders Briefing: 8.50am;

· Bikes must adhere to noise requirement of maximum 90db at 30 metres;

· Track Activities Commence: 9am and Finish 4pm;

· Cafe Facilities on-site;

· Clothing Requirement: Leathers

This will be my first time on the track too :D

EDIT: actually the 11th of july is probably going to be better for me, I'll actually be able to afford it by then :shy:

I haven't even heard of the track.

All the run offs will teach you a nasty lesson if you were to run wide... but apart from that it doesn't look like a bad track...

Has anyone here ever ridden it?
havent ridden it match but.. i know bit about it. its a very short and tight track. only bit over 1km in lenght i think. more suited to 250/motard/cars i would say than big 1k bikes. for $100 its worth giving it a go i suppose but cant see it being a rush on a 1k bike.
if my bike is running by the 11th of july im innorz

EDIT: Just read the 30db sound limit... uh oh.
Ninexz: do you have a full set of leathers?

And yeah I wouldn't imagine anyone would want to take a big bike there, I have only seen a datsun 1200 with a turbo sr20 drive it :drool: and it looked pretty fun.
i could be interested in this, 11th july would suit me. wonder if the gixxer would be ok around there?

that's a lap of the track, looks like you would be lucky to get into 3rd gear :D
i've been sifting through ebay for some cheapo leathers but found nothing cheap enough, but i wanna at least come down and have a look, maybe take some pics for ya's or something, unless the minister of war and finance lets me spend some tax return :)
fuck me....that would be frustrating as fuck but fun all the same.

think i might wait for an E.C ride day....

WANNA GET ONE ORGANIZED?

Run off is fine. Plenty of space as you're really not ever going to be going fast enough.

Good tight little track. Get out there peeps.
Im up for the roadtrip if anyone else from Syd is keen?
Are there any age restrictions for the track or the race licence?
no idea about age restrictions, what is it like at other tracks?

I'm also trying to get my brother keen to drive down there too, save having to carry too much shit and I kind of want to see how his b4 goes up the pass.
Pretty sure under 18's will require a wavier signed by a parent.

If you don't have an MA or Wakefield licence it will cost $30 for a annual Marulan licence.
