My old race one used to overheat like fuck after a race!
no thermostat, no fan, no brains, running water and flat to the matt or 12 laps.
So yes they do overheat BIATCH!

Yes they do John, I think so. Thanks for sorting that out mate.
Yep they overheat like crazy, my race bike as well. If you have a set of headers with a sharper bend than the standard ones you can fit up an R1 or R6 radiator or an NSR one can bit fitted with the standard headers.

I haven't experienced such kind of overheating in my CBR-400RR yet. I am very careful with my car and I know I can still use it for longer periods of time. However, I hope I will never experience it though I am a defensive driver.
I am having a Honda CBR400 in black color and i have the same problem that it gets over heated.Any suggestions will be appreciated.. :)

Hahah you would like to experience overheating....1st person who would. I love spam.
My cbr400rr used to over heat i jut got a smaller radiator and double stacked them and added a fan now it takes a bit longer ot warm up but it never rises above 3/4 heat no matter how hard i ride
hows it masking a problem its clearly fixed the problem i had, larger surface area for cooling along with a better more powerful fan? I check all the oil and water pressure fine pumps are fine and my hoses are brand new so, where does the problem lie?

If everything is functioning properly or set properly then standard system won't overheat unless you live in the sahara, Honda doesn't design a bike to overheat. If the cooling system is functioning properly aka fan functioning, thermoststat opening no blockages In water jackets or air in the system then bike is likely running lean. If its overheating something is faulty or incorrect and increasing cooling area or capacity is not fixing your issue.
For someone who smells of cornflakes and herbal essences you speak alot of sense.
You weren't complaining about the scent when your face was buried in my neck. ***.
my bike has been tuned as it has a full yoshimura system on but the problem doesnt occur when im ridding the bike its only if its left to idle or sat in traffic for long periods of time, ive tried everything i can think of and this is the best solution me and my local mechanic could come up with
