I vaguely remember reading that it is a bit of a hangout for boys in blue. True or am I misremembering?

This is totally worth a thread.

Only every other Sunday in a Blue moon.

It's only about a thousand kays of Aussie east coast. Spanning a couple of states and linking a couple of capital cities directly. I doubt police would even consider it worth a mention. No one even uses it. :s

This is the dumbest thread ever.

Sorry to pull you all that way out of your ass mate, feel free to crawl back in.

It was a simple question about a road I assume some people on here have more experience with than I do (that being none).

Ask a stupid question, you know the rest.
Iv seen a couple of them when I was driving up to the Gold Coast (twice). They camp behind trees and radar your ass. So becareful.
why are you worried? it is a highway, there is a highway patrol division of police, I would assume that they patrol highways, it is a highway... not sure if they are more interested in this particular one, but as has been pointed out, it is very long so perhaps you could narrow it down for us (unless you want more stupid answers :-/ )
I would probably just use the section that comes back from where the wiseman run ends. But if the pohleece hang around I'll just go to my local, no stress.

Simple Question? WOT? It's a FUCKING HUGE ROAD. How many states do you think we all live in? Which bit of it are you talking about?

You dont need to give me permission to crawl back into my own arse champ. It's my arse afterall.
Ah new profile doesn't have location. I'm in Sydney.
Come riding with me sometime. I'll show you where they chill.
I think what you are referring to is the 'Old Pacific Hwy" (old road, OPH, OR etc...)

Stretches from Berowra to Gosford Via Mt White. Nice set of twisties separated by a bout 4 straights.

Poopoo presence is very erratic.... some weeks you dont see any, while other times, they seem to be on every corner.

Its 60km/h for 95% of it (80km/h for a short stint across the mooney moooney bridge.)

Simple rule of thumb don't speed on the straights... and you should be right. That means dont speed coming out of a corner leading on a straight as the patrol car/bike is usually sitting at the corner catching you on radar as from behind, or if on a straight, they will be able to catch you head on.

And remember, their radar works at a distance of about 600 meters... so unless you have really good eyes, again, just dont speed on the straight and you will be fine.

This is true even for mid week riding.
Really? mid week? i am yet to see a cop up there mid week. on a sunny weekend, especially if it rained for 4 weeks coming up there usually are a lot of coppers around. its the reason why i really stay away from there on weekends. they do seem to really blitz the road till about 1 usually it seems (lunch time i guess lol) when the bike traffic is heaviest.
+1

Week days or get off the hill before 11 on weekends.
to many cops when i always head up OR so i stay away and head south, not toman spots on macquarie pass they can hidecause it twisty as hell. then do a jamberoo run! :)
Never seen a cop on the putty road week days either.
