Postie red in a can

Anyone know a good/very similar match to postie red in a spray pack?

Ive got some hi temp stuff, but while it looked like red on the lid, its more like a funny light red - looks really gay.

If anyone could point my in the right direction, that'd be great

cant give you an answer but you can take say the airbox or down tube cover into supercheap etc and match to the cans
Good timing! :)
I just bought some Killrust epoxy enamel from Bunnings yesterday.
I have sprayed a small patch on top of the eixisting red on mine to see if the colour matches.
I'll be doing a second coat tomorrow morning.
I'll post up a photo and let you know in a couple of days how it looks.
What are you doing to your postie???

Johnnie, that's a good idea^^^
I've found that the red on the plstic bits (airbox, downtube cover etc.) are actually slightly different red to the rest. Maybe faded a bit.
The info I have, which I have not verified is:

Tahitian red : R23

and

Monza red : R110

Goto a auto spray paint place. They put the paint using the code provided into a pressure pack. I have not gone down to try it though as my bike is now camo and not red.[hr]
I just googled Tahitian red and a photo of a ct110 comes up so I reckon that is it.[hr]
Just testing

you could always take the front guard , but you cant get it off without taking the wheel off
Ah ha! Stavros was giving me a hard time about "monza" red, and thats what its turned out to be :D

Juxt, all Im doing is getting it ready for sale. Make it look nice and purty, even if it is from 1989. Chasing around a grand registered when Im done. Im trying to make it look OEM as best as I can
noooo... don't sell it!!!!

By the way, you got any spares you might not need???
Sorry no, Im buying all the new bits of ebay. I doubt you'd want secondhand sprockets and a chain etc.
I'm glad you got the right colour paint. Now you wont look gay riding a postie:-/
Yeah, thanks worm.......

its a bad idea to try and match off the lid of the can. go down to an autobarn and they can mix you up a can from a colour book they usually have (usually dulux or somthing)

As promised for Hessian:

I have painted a small section of the frame with Killrust epoxy enamal from Bunnings (around $10-$11).
No primer required, approx 16 hours between coats. This is 3 coats.

It's a nice red, very close to the standard postie red, maybe a little darker. If you can imagine when it's painted next to the standard paint it looks like it is new paint that hasen't faded. Gloss level is pretty similar. I took some photos under fluro light (with and without flash), then a couple outside (overcast).

Overall, I think it is probably ok to use if you don't mind it being a little bit darker than standard.
If you want me to email bigger photos, let me know.
Anyway, here are the shots:

Darker looks tougher :D
Isn't it a bitch to mask off everything on a postie bike? Took me AGES as I CBF taking everything off the bike haha The front suspension/head stem area was of particular butt wrenchingness
I just did the head stem area, yes, it is full of bitchiness !
