Ah the french and their love of strikes.
Apparently a bike journalist once took advantage of a truck drivers protest. Back in the early 90's they blocked off a motorway with their lorries so he took a new ZZR1100, filtered through the road block and proceeded to do a max speed run until the tank ran dry:headbang:

That would be even better. If everyone who got a ticket on the day demanding a court appearance the protestors could tie up the whole legal system for months.

Protesting is a bit like terrorism. It is all about the disruption you can cause.
