oh sick, they cut out the part where he crosses double lines to chase.
This is fkn stupid, aren't they supposed to keep roads safe not raise revenue?
The bit I especially like is where the copper is admitting to doing 107km/hr in a 40km/hr zone at roadworks with work utes and blokes leaning on shovels everywhere. He's not in hot pursuit with lights and sirens.
If he isn't going to pull over the other bike on the spot and issue him with a fine and a preachy lecture he's not achieving anything by chasing him, other than duplicating his offences. It's all on video, so if it's too "dangerous" to pull him over, book him when he stops at the cafe or send him a ticket in the mail.
Cops are obviously above the law these days.
A couple of years ago they used a lime green Commodore ute up there with ladders and bits of conduit on the racks and a video camera on the dash. They drove along well under the speed limit and sent tickets out to everyone they filmed passing the ute over double white lines. That got shut down because it was awfully close to being entrapment, but this is not much better.
