Obviously he must be a babykiller hellbent on the destruction of society... duh.
if its such a big deal why didnt the fucken pig of a cop pull him over when he had the chance
probably because he didnt have any light or sirens perhaps? or he didnt want to risk the pillion in any sort of chase? it happens ya know, dont ya watch cops? pillion dies coz of rider stupid choice, this way having the car in front gives them abit of an intimidation advantage over the rider, no time to think about running.
honestly, how is this setting a good example? the cop is going just as fast as the dude in front.
Nah mate he's been trained to stomp on kittens while continually looking at his speedo and giving a play by play while stroking himself.
There is no logic. They bank on you not noticing them and doing something that will give them more money. It's not about safety. If that undercover had been in full police garb I doubt the rider would have overtaken him on double lines "dangerously". Prevention never crosses their mind.

(In a car) I was tailgated doing 60 in a 50 zone by some idiot - close enough I could only see half his front headlights. I stayed at 60 for a km or two. I sped up to 70 to increase the distance and pull over safely. (I didn't want to brake suddenly and pull over y'see).

Car behind me pulls over too and sirens come on. Got booked for 20 over. Cop gave me heaps of attitude because 2.5 years ago I was booked "stupidly" doing 135 in an 80 zone. Since then I haven't sped excessively./rant
^probably a beemer.

oh sick, they cut out the part where he crosses double lines to chase.

This is fkn stupid, aren't they supposed to keep roads safe not raise revenue?

The bit I especially like is where the copper is admitting to doing 107km/hr in a 40km/hr zone at roadworks with work utes and blokes leaning on shovels everywhere. He's not in hot pursuit with lights and sirens.

If he isn't going to pull over the other bike on the spot and issue him with a fine and a preachy lecture he's not achieving anything by chasing him, other than duplicating his offences. It's all on video, so if it's too "dangerous" to pull him over, book him when he stops at the cafe or send him a ticket in the mail.

Cops are obviously above the law these days.

A couple of years ago they used a lime green Commodore ute up there with ladders and bits of conduit on the racks and a video camera on the dash. They drove along well under the speed limit and sent tickets out to everyone they filmed passing the ute over double white lines. That got shut down because it was awfully close to being entrapment, but this is not much better.
We don't have entrapment laws in Australia, Stavros.
hey professional amateur i have to say that gif file has me memorised.

back to the subject on hand how can they say that the bike was in anyway dangerous to anyone, he wasnt pushing it he wasnt over taking on blind corners.

ive seen far more reckless riding on a group ride.
Jesus christ.
What did he keep on looking down for? Checking his speedo/ mirrors or something?

I dont have a problem with the po-lice keeping peeps safe, but when they hide and do sneaky stuff to catch people out for $$$, thats when I have a drama
I've always tried to avoid bashing the cops on principle. At the end of the day we live in a reasonably safe country and we have the police largely to thank for that.

BUT! The bullshit I'm going through atm with my license, and things like this make me have second thoughts about my stance on the issue.

same shit diff day.. its only going to get worse with technology moving forward.. in 10 years bikes/cars will be chipped and give you a fine out of the dashbord for speeding in aus... i am moving back to europe! lol
a friend of mine been pulled over by a undercover bike for 48km over....and i was in the car....its pretty BS what they do ...

anyways just curious....if i have an undercover tailgating me real close..if i slam on the brake and they crash into the back of me.... what happens ??

do i get insurance payout ? or do i get a fine ?
