Unless you've got a valid reason to do it, I wouldn't. There's absolutely nothing wrong with setting up reverse shift mechanically speaking, but if you ever want to ride someone else's bike or have someone ride yours, it's dangerous, especially the transition when you're getting used to it.
Instinct is trained through repetition, no matter how conscious you are of the swap, during the transition when the shit hits the fan on the road you'll revert back to instinct and shift the wrong way. It happened to me, massive compression lock at a time when I needed go, got away with it, but left me with undies resembling Ontik's (except being man sized :blush
