so i'm gunna head up to RYLSTONE through the BYLONG VALLEY via the GOLDEN HWY saturday.

stop off in RYLSTONE for lunch then head back home, anyone up for a good ride (approx 500km's round trip from NEWCASTLE) is more than welcome to come.

anyone that hasn't heard of the BYLONG VALLEY WAY, let me tell you it's better than the OPH and PUTTY RD put together.

if a few sydney guys are keen we could even go back to sydney via LITHGOW & THE BELLS LINE OF ROAD.

at the moment i'll be leaving NEWCASTLE (JEWELLS to be precise) no later than 10am.

Honestly there is no way that these roads are better than OPH or putty, in my opinion there is only 1 good section and it only lasts for for a short time. I am not saying that it is not worth doing but i dont think the surface of the roads along bylong are at the same level.
i can remember hitting some really fucked up bumps and corregations along the bylong rd, dont know if i'll make this one, the missus is too close to having the baby, i dont wanna be in rylstone when i get the call lol. that would suck.

by better i ment that it is a road where you can ride your bike....and i mean ride it, you aren't stuck in a fucked up 60kmp/h zone or have to deal with truck or many cars.

OPH is fucked, you have to do 60 just about all the way and if you do give it a squirt sure as shit the po po are hiding in the bushes and putty is full of trucks and cars and there really is on 2 good twisty bits.

BYLONG VALLEY WAY is a decent surface (keep in mind it is a country back road not a racetrack so expecting anything but super smooth surfaces is just naive) with nice sweepeing high speed bends with a couple of good twisty section, all in all it's quite a technical ride that most novices find challenging.

i've NOT come across a rider that hasn't liked it yet.

anyway it's my favourite stretch of road with in a couple of hours from me and like crazylegs said, for sydney dudes it's a hella long ride.....but i say harder the fuck up ladies!
