Riding on wet roads

wet roads are more dangerous. its more slippery for you.. but its more dangerous from other drivers... they cant see u very well.. etc..
however.. riding in wet roads prepares u and trains u to be a better rider.. just go easy and youl be fine.
IF YOU ARE RIDING for the FIRST time.. then i dont think its a good idea to start on a wet day.

hey mate when i first started riding it was a pretty rainy week but i just got my licence and my bike and there was nothing gonna stop me from finally goin for a ride.
i found riding in the wet a good way to boost confidence, you'll automatically be more careful anyway without even knowing it, but riding in the dry afterwards you will be much more relaxed. which is good i think.
i still do 110 along the m4 rain, hail or shine, i just make sure there is a much bigger gap between other traffic and me.
just be careful, dont get cocky and pay attention to traffic, oh and relax

I rode my first road bike home at night in the rain...
Just be super careful. Give yourself a lot more room.
Be smooth with everything you do.
Watch out for the line markings as they tend to become like ice when wet.
Wear the correct gear. You'll concentrate a lot better when you are comfortable, not freezing cold and wet.

when i bought my cbr i rode it home in the rain, forgot to start wide on 2 corners then come in narrow. just eased on the rear brakes
lucky i didnt handbrake the corner.. handbrake turn = drop lol..
these days when i shift down in a hurry in the wet i still sometimes lose the rear tire traction if i drop d clutch.. fishtail fun
keep an eye out for cars slowing down suddenly... often seems 2 happen 2 me in the wet

Don't worry too much about it or you might start overreacting.
Just take it nice and easy like your cruising along the coast.
So long as you've got good tyres, the suspension isn't shagged and your throttle control is smooth there isn't much else that can go wrong on your side of things. Apart from yourself so....cool runnings

riding in the rain is fine, as long as you have good tyres and proper gear
if you've never ridden before apart from your license test, and you just got your bike, i reckon you should practise a bit during early morning or night when its dry and less traffic just to get used to your bike
after that start riding wherever and whenever
oh before you ride in the rain, make sure you dont have arrowmaxes as tyres
also as people above suggested, stay a good distance behind other cars during wet weather
i've had way too many narrow misses coz the driver in front of me suddenly decided to stop and wait for the left lane to clear or whatever
