I'll give you $1500 for it. Considering it needs about $1500 spent on fairings/exhaust/rearset that's 3k, plus 1k for rego. When a going example is only worth 5k max sounds about fair to me for a bike i haven't test ridden/has been crashed so there could be other issues i don't know about.
I'm sorry but anyone who says that if they bought this bike and would replaced the fairings would be lying to themselves... There is less damage on these than most CBR250's!

Max to get this back on the road would be ~ $1000-$1500 for the brake lever, rear set, exhaust, RWC and Rego..

$4900 on road is cheap! Buying any bike, there is always a risk that it has also been dropped and fixed cosmetically!!

Besides all of this, low balling without even seeing the bike... Not cool!

Calm down sunshine. A bike's only worth whatever the market is paying. A guy I know just sold a '96 gix 750 for 3k and was struggling to get someone to pay it.

I think if anyone is in a position to arc up about the low offer it's OP, and even then, arcing up over lowball offers just makes you look like a pain and discourages genuine interest.

No rage :p Just concern and point of view...

I agree.. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay, however after a quick look on the web the only thing that came close (in terms of year and k's) was for $5200. There were lower priced (not by much) but they were for different machines.

I hope I haven't discouraged anyone with genuine interest from contacting nomj_250 ... But my understanding is, genuine interest is warranted with a genuine offer, not an obvious low ball..

either fix it yourself, at least get it rideable which wouldnt be hard , that rear master cylinder needs some attention also

alternative better options to sell

which is what ? sell it ? isnt that what this thread is about ??

if you at least make it rideable its easier to sell and at a better price

or you can use the above sites to broaden you chance of selling it

I was under the understating it was EOI (Expressions of interest). I was just expressing my interest and what price i would pay. If it were worth more somebody may have made a better offer by now...

RE: 2001 Yamaha R6 5,300 (pics up)

That's my old bike! I sold it on this forum over 2.5 years ago

I'm not sure I can even tell what price you're trying to get for it, am interested to see how this goes considering we have another 2001 R6 (my brother's) to sell soon

Are you selling it for $3900 or $5300...

Cos you put $3900 in a lower post (i think) but the topic is still $5300... Might be losing some customers - might want to do a full edit of the original post. It's kinda messy.
