So i kinda feel dumb asking this.
But i seem to have lost the bolt going from back of tank to under the seat, also the 3 bolts at the front of tank, and i need to know what size the 3 are.

Ps. Im a canadian, i misplaced the square bolt for carb clamp aswell and i couldnt find one anywhere..

flockin Canadians! :)

There's only 1 at the front of a tank and its a 6mm x 20-25mm, the other 2 will be for the front cowling/mirror support bracket? there 6mm x 25mm too.

There's such a thing called a thread pitch gauge, vernier gauge and ruler to measure bolts!

thats real fucking useful if you dont have the bolts
haha u can use the thread pitch gauge on the hole the bolt came out of and also measure the width of the hole with a ruler.

Whats the pitch for the front tank?
6mm x 20-25mm
1mm (coarse thread)
the one on the front is the same width as half the other bolts on the bike......... eg, bolts that hold speedo, heel guards, fairings......
yeah theres a few that are 6mm
i just replaced every bolt on the head stem and tank with anodized bolts from http://www.tastynuts.com/
what tap and die should i use ?
a tap is used to change/make the thread in a hole.

M6 x 1mm tap ( taper, intermediate or plug/bottoming tap.)

a die is used to change/make the thread in a bolt.

Use M6 x 1mm die

See less See more
so which do i use, not sure?

for what? what do you want to do?
Snapped a bolt into the hole where you bolt the top bolt of the tank.
Seeing what ideas to get it out or re-tap it.

The snap is not sticking out or we would've used vice grips
drill and easy out??
might be a bit small for the easy out though......
whats easy out tried googling it but still confused :S
screw extractors......[hr]
