what are the best gloves?

So as the title says, I'm looking for a new set of leather gloves. Ive currently got Alpinestars SP-2's which have lasted me about 2 years but have now worn through between the index and middle finger as well on the palm where there is no extra protection.

So the question is, what are your opinions on the most durable gloves? as well as best value for money?

I love my GP Plus.
yeah, my mates got a set of them. Not the biggest fan of the webbed fingers since i do mostly street riding. i suppose i could just cut them.
Im using some Collins ones which feel really good

if you do alot of street riding, this would be a plus wouldn't it? it's there to prevent dislocation/fingers being bent in an unnatural direction

I've had my collins for 3+years using them at least 4 times a week. No sign of them even close to tearing or stiching coming undone. Not sure what would happen if they where slid on tarmac but they look well made.
yes leather ones...

I got some spyke ones, they are leather. find a set which fit the best I say

fark.
but i thought the dishwashing gloves im using atm would suffice. That must be what im doing wrong.
Whenever i go to a bike shop and they have those bins where they are selling cheap items. I always have a look to see if they have gloves. I would probably have 15ish pairs of gloves, some of them i have butchered with scissors to fit.
I wouldnt have paid any more than $20 tops for a pair. Its always good to have a spare for a pillion or if it's been raining so you dont have to put on wet gloves or you lose a just one glove. I also use them so i have a pair of on and offroad gloves.
Depends what you want them for I guess... I've got Dainese Hellracers because they're extremely soft and comfortable as well as being pretty well armoured, this is my second pair, the first one lasted 2 years of 7 day a week bike transport.

If I were after something for track only I'd be looking at A* stuff because they seem a bit more sturdy but thats about it :D
my joe rockets cost 110 and survived me sliding down the road on them. a little bit scuffed, but they saved me from having to have hand surgery, so i'm kind of attached to them.
I should probably add, that I wear 250+ dollar A*'s for racing, and a cheap pair of RJays shorties for commuting.

They're pretty flimsy, a stack in them doing much more than 80 is probably going to hurt, but if I'm going to do dumb shit I put on the A*s.
Next question., Best place/Best price to get A* gloves. Ebay? or instore with the sales on at the moment? I want to get a pair on Saturday.

My current ones are "nitrotek" or some shit. random brand i think. Just picked em up cheap when i first started riding and has lasted me 1 street stack (low speed) and 1 track stack (low speed for the track) but did their job! But they have aklways been a size too big and are 2 years old so time to upgrade :)

Any info of where to try on and buy A* at a good price would be helpful =)

MCAS, MAW's, BikeBiz, Action Motorcycles etc ?
Might have to go bargain bin hunting myself, my current pair were nearly solid after drying off from the other weeks downpour.

Plus they are mad tatty and smell like a dead hobbit. e

A* at a good price won't happen in aus, depending on your idea of good price. Bikebiz gave me a decent discount off my boots when I got em, only 5% off my gp pros though. Wasn't end of financial year or anything but.
Berriks are shiet, hurts on the left fingers because of the plastic protection stuff $130 i brought them for...

the webbed fingers aren't uncomfortable on my GP Plus. Although the plastic protector bits stick into my knuckle when I clench a fist with my gloves on, which sorta hurts. Hopefully I get used to it..

Get decent gloves mate. That way, if you have an accident you'll be able to wipe your ass! And generally better gloves look cooler too!!

With all riding gear, get the best gear that you can afford. If you can afford a $1400 Arai, get one. You get what you pay for, and think about it.. It may save you thousands in hospital bills. And 3 months loss of pay because both your hands are broken is going to cost you alot more than an extra $120 for decent gloves..
Anyone who wears shit/no gear when they have better stuff, no matter how experienced they are, where they are riding or how fast/slow they are going, obviously aren't thinking logically.. (No offence to anyone here)

Just my thoughts..
