So I've decided that I am going to give my bike a fresh look with a new kit of fairings. Only problem is that the tank is currently black and I want it to be,, well not black.
I have been looking into automotive paints and it looks like my main two options are enamel or acrylic. I believe that I will have to put a clear coat on top of the colour to protect it and enhance the colour. I am worried that if I use the incorrect paint/clear coat the tank will "Orange Peel" and look terrible, or the odd drop of spilt fuel will melt through the paint and cause it to bubble/come off.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
