Who will replace Rossi while he's out injured?
some food for thought:

Names that have been thrown around:
Troy Bayliss: would be awesome to see, but highly unlikely given his connection with rival manufacturer Ducati
Ben Spies: Tech 3 Yamaha satellite rider, a popular choice but due to the rookie rule may not be eligible
Colin Edwards: the other Tech 3 rider and former factory Yamaha rider, would be a good fit, tests well and gives good feedback
James Toseland: Yamaha's factory rider in WSBK and former Tech 4 rider in MotoGP
Cal Crutchlow: Yamaha's other factory rider in WSBK and reigning WSS champ
Garry McCoy: Rode for Yamaha back in the 500GP days, currently unemployed after splitting with the stillborn FB Corse project, aka Mr Squiggle, the popular aussie is still a cult favourite
Yuki Takahashi: Started last season riding a satellite RC212V before losing his ride due to funding/injury, currently rides for the Tech 3 Moto2 squad
Other: some Yamaha test rider or post up your pick.
