If your patient enough you can service the switch yourself. A little screwdriver, some sand paper and WD-40 will see that switch work for another 5 years.

Have you had a look?
Somewhat retarded switch its opposite or something but I managed to fix mines in 10mins or so, shouldn't be too hard. If not theres scraps around if you still need one

It seems rather brittle probably from age. Im wondering what a new one might set me back?
