That RVF could still be worth putting back on the road. Just depends what else it needs besides fairings. If you look hard enough the parts aren't too expensive.

No cap on salvage to my knowledge. General vehicles are capped at somewhere around $500 from memory (not including prestige). To further what Omar was saying, there are usually extra fees as well when bidding online/over the phone. There are also fees if you pay by credit card (1.x%), even fees for paying by cash (1.x% again). Only direct bank deposit/bank cheque and eftpos transactions don't incur payment fees.

I remember reading somewhere the subframe (I think? It may have been another part) was around the $12k mark. I wouldn't be surprised if a fairing kit set you back somewhere in the range of $10k. Would still be a sweet bike regardless.

Oh no's! 2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR. For anyone that knows these, only 1500 worldwide, cheapest on bikesales at the moment is 63k.

08 CBR600RR for $5k. Pretty cheap if you ask me, especially for a 600RR, not in bad condition either. Would be a good buy for someone looking to get into a bit more track riding.

I was looking at those stands a few weeks ago. I'm with Omar on that though, wouldn't feel safe servicing a bike on it.

Would much rather an Abba stand as they go under the bike and connect on both sides.
